Tom Clancy’s HAWX Demo February 19, 2009

I had the opportunity earlier this week to download and play with the newest entry in Tom Clancy franchise. I was skeptical at first to see Ubisoft do a jet fighter game but had high expectations after watching some videos online. The demo did not disappoint. The demo only lets you fly a F-16a Fighting Eagle at first.. A single engine jet with two different missle choices and a machine gun that is pretty hard to use. The maps look very detailed and apparently the game used real satalite photography to make real world locations that are recreated realistically.

If you play a few missions and do really well in the demo you can gain XP and level up unlocking new jets and such.. I unlocked a Harrier which was not nearly as effective on the demo missions as the F-16.
Tom Clancey’s HAWX is scheduled for a March 6, 2009 release on the X-Box 360 and I will be buying this one… If you want to get in on some co-op action or get dropped out of the sky in a versus match throw me a request on the 6th.

I did finally manage to play the demo later that day and liked it a lot. I was surprised to find the voice commands in it. I found it worked well.
